Bochra runs for Syrian children in Baylor College of Medicine Charity Challenge

The Baylor of College Medicine wellness program, the BCM Charity Challenge, gives their valued employees the opportunity to run/walk a 5K or 10K in honor of a cause close to their hearts.  Baylor employee Bochra Jandali chose to do the Run Houston! Clear Lake 5K for the children affected by the Syrian war.  She raised awareness and funds for Syrian American Medical Society, a US-based, non-political, non-religious medical relief organization and 501(c)(3) that is working on the front lines of crisis relief in Syria, neighboring countries, and beyond to alleviate suffering and save lives. SAMS is one of the most active and trusted international NGOs on the ground in Syria. In 2016, SAMS provided more than 3 million medical services, including 2.6 million services inside Syria.

As a participant in the event’s Run Houston! For a Cause program, Bochra even won an additional $100 donation for her cause.  We acknowledge her for taking the BCM Charity Challenge and including others in her 5K journey.
