Team Katy ISD Education Foundation breaks all records!
For the 5th year in a row, Team Katy ISD Education Foundation rallied teachers, students and other supporters to do the Bayou City Half Marathon Series Katy 5K on 2/8/2020. The team set their sights high this year and succeeded in record breaking ways. They had over 600 runners/walkers representing 66 schools participate in the event who raised OVER $110,000! This almost doubled their original goal to raise $60,000 for provide teacher grants to Katy ISD educators. The 600 participants all chose Katy ISD Education Foundation as their Reason2Race, and nine of their individual fundraisers even won bonus donations for their cause. The Run Houston! For a Cause program awarded them $2,400 in donations! To date, Katy ISD Education Foundation has raised over $216,000 through our programs, and we could not be more proud of all their efforts.
