Reason2Race partners with Houston Race Series, LLC to give you the Run Houston! For A Cause program which awards $4,500 in prize donations to the charities of the highest athlete fundraisers!
Bayou City Half Marathon believes in giving athletes of all levels a competitive advantage, encouraging you to strive for and reach your peak level of performance. In addition to providing you with an excellent racing experience, they are excited to support your racing success in yet another way. You are invited to participate in the Run Houston! For A Cause program and race for the charity of your choice. Raise awareness and funds for your favorite cause, and watch how making a difference for others makes a difference for you.
Since 2015, 1,828 athletes have collectively raised over $778,700 for dozens of causes.

Steps to Participate
Donation Program
- 1st Place – $500
- 2nd Place – $400
- 3rd Place – $300
- 4th Place – $200
- 5th Place – $100
* To qualify for one of the donation prizes you must raise at least the amount of the prize.
