Reason2Race partners with A Step Ahead to give you the The Outbreak Charity Challenge which awards $3,000 in prize donations to the nonprofits of the highest individual fundraisers!

A Step Ahead™ is a revolutionary new health challenge developed by video game designers to engage groups in a fun, healthy 6-week walking challenge that draws game progress from real-world activity. They create games that get people moving and promote health. It is their commitment to the well-being of others that makes them a perfect Reason2Race partner, therefore we present you The Outbreak Charity Challenge.

The Outbreak challenges you and your teammates to take enough real-world steps to outrun the zombie horde. Fall behind and you risk turning into a zombie, at which point your new job is to chase down the rest of the humans and convert them to zombies too.

As you are outrunning the zombies, we invite you to add a new level of accountability to the game and share their journey with family, friends and community. Sharing goals makes them a reality, and we are committed that your success becomes just that – a reality! As you compete in The Outbreak’s 6-week walking challenge, spread awareness and raise funds for the charity of your choice. Watch how making a difference for others makes a difference for you.

Donation Program

There is no fundraising minimum to participate, and we encourage you to set a high goal, at least $1,000. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. The Reason2Race is happy to award the following additional donations to the nonprofits of the highest individual fundraisers.

  • 1st place individual fundraiser wins $1,000 for his/her cause
  • 2nd place individual fundraiser wins $700 for his/her cause
  • 3rd place individual fundraiser wins $400 for his/her cause
  • 4th place individual fundraiser wins $200 for his/her cause
  • 5th place individual fundraiser wins $200 for his/her cause
  • 6th place individual fundraiser wins $100 for his/her cause
  • 7th place individual fundraiser wins $100 for his/her cause
  • 8th place individual fundraiser wins $100 for his/her cause
  • 9th place individual fundraiser wins $100 for his/her cause
  • 10th place individual fundraiser wins $100 for his/her cause

* To qualify for one of the donation prizes you must raise at least the amount of the prize.
